## Freaking Out over Math

**Ajax’s Quick Guide to Figuring out Volume, Mass, and Density**

1. Volume = the amount of mass (candy) X density (how much candy is left in the box).

2. Density = mass (candy) divided by the volume (size of the container)

3. Mass = volume (container size) X density (amount of candy inside the box)

The density triangle is a good way to remember what you are supposed to do with this stuff.

You divide if the letters are above each other. You multiply if they are beside each other.

To find the mass (M), you multiply the D (density) x V (volume).

To find V, divide M by D.

To find D, divide M by V

Ms. Turri never talked much about this, but in math class, I learned how to find the volume of a cube (a box). Check out this site to learn how to do it.
